What is Richardson Corporate Challenge (RCC)?
First of all, it’s a great thing!
RCC is a kind of Olympic Games between big companies in our area, like Siemens, Texas Instruments, HP, Sprint, Hilton and so on. Between end of August and beginning October we had about 20 competitions. For example Soccer, Track and Field, Golf, Basketball, Domino, Billard, Swimming and much more. I tried my best in Tennis, Soccer, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Badminton and Basketball. Except Basketball I made the cut for the team.
Our first competition was Tennis. MaryCarmen and I made the fourth place. We battled hard and we played pretty well. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for a medal.

we made it to the Semifinal, where we played against Hilton. After a hard game we lost 3:2. One of their players belonged to the Nigirian Youth Nationalteam, he was amazing. At least we managed to achieve the 3rd Place. At the end 3:1 for Interstate Batteries and we got our first medal :thumps:
The week after we had Badminton. That was real fun, I played Mix with Shannon. Surprisingly we made it to the final. After a hard fight we won the Silvermedal, not bad, right?
2 days later we had our Volleyball Tournament. We started with big hopes, since we had pretty good results in the test games and my team mates were great and fun. But we didn’t play so good in the tournament, at least not better than the other teams. We lost our games and had to go home pretty early. Too sad, since we had a great team, but there is always next year.
At the end of the Games I had to play Table Tennis. We thought we would get kicked out in the first round, but we made it to the Semifinal. Unfortunately we lost the deciding game for the bronze medal, but we were still happy, that we made it so far. 
6 weeks RCC were over very fast. 1 Silver and 1 Bronze isn’t too bad I guess, but the most important thing was, we had so much fun at the games. I got to know a lot people in and outside the company, it was great. It supports the team spirit of the company a lot.
I can’t wait to participate at the games next year. I hope we will have even more people of our company participating at the RCC.
